Halton Community Sleep Clinics

Sleep is the bedrock of health and wellbeing, but for many people it’s the missing piece. Whether you’re a parent struggling with your child’s bedtime routine, a teenager lying awake scrolling at 2 a.m., or an adult worn down by years of insomnia, our Halton Community Sleep Clinics are here to help with support for people of Runcorn and Widnes.

We bring together lived experience, compassion, and proven methods to provide the community with the support it deserves.

CBT-i (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia)

Recognised as the gold standard for treating chronic insomnia, CBT-i goes beyond quick fixes or sleeping pills. It helps you tackle the behaviours, routines, and thought patterns that keep you awake at night. You’ll learn practical tools to reduce anxiety around sleep, rebuild a consistent routine, and finally get the restorative rest your body and mind need.

Sleep and SEND

Sleep difficulties are more common in children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We provide tailored guidance for families, helping parents understand their child’s unique challenges while creating simple, structured routines that make bedtime less of a battle. From sensory-friendly strategies to managing night wakings, our approach is supportive, realistic, and designed to fit into everyday life.

Teen Sleep

Teenagers face unique pressures—schoolwork, screens, social media, changing body clocks—and sleep is often the first thing to suffer. Our teen-focused clinics help young people understand why sleep matters, while giving them practical ways to manage their routines, energy, and mindset. We work with both teens and parents, bridging the gap between what science says and what life actually looks like.

Our Services

The range of services we provide to schools allows us to support children at early early years through to all key stage levels using our age appropriate delivery.

How we work

To make a referral please visit this link.

Upon receiving a referral we will be in touch to complete a consultation which includes a sleep screening questionnaire and a readiness for change assessment, this can be completed with or without our staff being present.
We do have a sizable caseload and we work hard to get through referrals as quickly as we possibly can. You will be offered an appointment suitable to your needs, face to face or virtual.

Why Our Clinics Matter

Too many people are told to “just get on with it” when they’re struggling with sleep. We don’t accept that. Poor sleep affects energy, mood, learning, relationships, and long-term health. By offering free, local, community-based clinics, we’re breaking down barriers so that families, young people, and adults in Halton can access proper sleep care without cost being a barrier.
We’re here to tackle health inequalities head-on—bringing world-class sleep support into the community, not just to those who can afford to go private.

Our Mission

Poor health and health inequalities are two of the greatest challenges of today for people of all ages.

Our mission is to inspire the current and future generations to achieve better health and wellbeing.

We use our experience of the most unlikely recovery in very challenging circumstances to stimulate people’s behaviours towards achieving better health.

Sleeping better, eating smarter and moving more are completely within our control and if improved, will contribute to better health.
