The Live Well Project

The Live Well Project is a fully funded exercise initiative developed to enable access to physical activity and exercise for those who face challenges doing so.

We firmly stand by the famous quote, “If you have a body, you are an athlete” the Live Well Project brings this notion to life.

Group Exercise

  • Supportive

    We welcome all users into our sessions regardless of ability, experience or current health and fitness status. You will become part of a like-minded, supportive community when starting your exercise journey with us.

  • Social Prescribing

    Exercise 4 Health is a social prescribing project enabling people to improve their health through supported group exercise without clinical or medicinal intervention.

  • Health and Wellbeing

    We see fitness as a key component to living well. Regular attendance at our sessions can improve mental wellbeing, improve sleep and improve nutrition profile.

BOOKING PROCESS

HOW DO I BOOK?

Provided you meet the eligibility stated below, you will need to visit the memberships section of our bookings page and select the Live Well Project to sign up. Once signed up you are free to book and attend sessions.

if i have a long term health condition what do i do?

You can submit a self referral detailing your health condition by clicking here. Your referral will enable us to tailor our sessions to meet any specific needs that you have whilst ensuring you maximum benefit.

Yoga and Mindfulness

  • Hatha Yoga

    Yoga is a wonderful form of exercise and Hatha Yoga sessions form part of the Live Well project. All sessions work on basic poses, postures and holds, as well as providing focus on breathe work.

  • Mindfulness

    Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment all of which is fully explored in our yoga sessions.

  • Fully Funded Sessions

    Individuals can self-refer to our project or if relevant, receive a medical professional referral to access our fully funded sessions. Sessions can be accessed at your own pace.

FAQ

WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY FOR THE LIVE WELL PROJECT?

People who are in receipt of benefits, people who have a long term health condition, people who live with a disability, people who are from a culturally diverse background and people living in an areas that are considered deprived are all eligible.

how many sessions per week can i access?

You can access all of our sessions that are held across Runcorn, with group exercise sessions held at Sandymoor Academy and The Grange Academy and all yoga sessions held The Heath School. Sessions are accessed via a sign up to our booking system and must be booked in advance.

CAN I ACCESS JUST YOGA?

Yes, provided that you meet the eligibility as stated above, you can access what sessions suit your needs provided you are booked into the session.
