About the Halton Lea Youth Active Living Project
Welcome to the Youth Active Living Project (YALP) in partnership with Cradle to Career, where we will provide transformative initiatives and activities that promote health, wellbeing, and fitness for young people from within the community of Halton Lea. 
Sport and Physical Activity:

The Youth Active Living Project, is committed to providing young people with free and ongoing access to a variety of exciting sports and physical activities. Our goal is to empower the youth of Halton Lea through engaging and fun sessions that promote health, wellness, and an active lifestyle. 

We believe in the power of sport and physical activity to inspire, motivate, and transform lives. Our innovative sessions will provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and benefit from.

From 3v3 street soccer to street cricket, basketball, fitness sessions, boxing, tennis, swimming, and rowing, all sessions are coached with young peoples needs in mind.

Mental Health and Wellbeing:

The Youth Active Living Project, has been developed to support young people with free and ongoing mental health, wellbeing and learning opportunities.

We understand the current mental health challenges that young people and families experience, and we are committed to supplying free support services that promote and encourage recovery.

Mental health and wellbeing sessions will include yoga, ‘Next Step’ coaching, counselling, sleep and nutrition clinics, peer led mental health groups, also drug and alcohol focus activities.

All mental health and wellbeing sessions will be available in groups and individually by appointment. We encourage family involvement in sessions where relevant.

Support for Schools and Further Education

The Youth Active Living Project also supports Schools and Further Education providers, with a focus on children and young people who may be at risk of negative behaviours or those who require an alternate support protocol.

EmpowerED

Schools can engage student groups in a six-week journey at our facility, combining physical activity, coaching education and mental health support for at-risk students.

Strengthening Minds

Strengthening Minds is a targeted Lived Experience Support for At-Risk Students delivered in school settings, providing one off or connected mental health talks to students.

FAQ

is my child is eligible to attend?

If you live in Halton Lea or in the surrounding areas, you are welcome to attend sessions.

Where are the sessions?

The above calendar will be updated on an ongoing basis detailing the session, coach, times and venue.

Do I need to pre-register my child before they attend?

Ideally yes, we do accept drop in attendees but it is more helpful for us if children are pre-registered.

What do we need to bring to the session?

We encourage everyone to bring a refillable water bottle who is attending our sessions

What activities will the project deliver?

Sessions will include all types of of physical activity, including multiple sports such as football, basketball, dodgeball, cricket, yoga they will also have the option to experience performing arts, such as dance or gymnastics.

For us to arrange individual or family appointments, we advise sending a message through the contact page, we will then get in touch to discuss your specific needs and arrange an appointment for you and your child.
