Wellbeing Transformation Project
2020 has without doubt been a challenging year on us all. The consequences of Covid-19; lockdowns, tiered restrictions, negativity in the media and much more has severely impacted the wellbeing of many.
We felt we could do something to help others in transforming how they feel so over the last eight weeks we have been delivering an eight-week ‘Wellbeing Transformation’ pilot in Halton.
The objective of the pilot was to use exercise as the catalyst to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of everyone involved. So, starting with some deep goal setting each individual had specific targets and measures for the eight weeks.
Complementing exercise with education webinars on the themes of sleep and nutrition created the opportunity to explore positive behaviour change which has facilitated a holistic approach for wellbeing improvement.
Seven weeks in and the outcomes so far have been absolutely mind blowing;
- Significant weight loss (including over 1st for single user)
- Positive BMI changes
- Reduction in waist circumference
- Improved sleep quality and quantity
- Greater awareness of nutrition
- Making mindful food choices
- Increased resilience
- Significant increases in self esteem
- Restored confidence
- Reduced symptoms of generalised anxiety
So far this has been a truly inspiring experience, seeing the life changing benefits of doing something you love has been wonderful.
We cannot wait to deliver this again in early 2021.
