Mental Health Awareness week is always a hive of activity for us at Sean Bailey Wellness during times of normality so undoubtedly with the current situation it certainly presented us with some interesting challenges.
Traditionally our work has been delivered face to face but despite lockdown we have managed to reach an unbelievable number of people in a variety of sessions and formats.
Last Monday we delivered our Four Ways to Wellbeing in Isolation to over 130 people. The initial reaction has been fantastic, with lots of praise regarding the content and the information within the session but more importantly the level of simplistic detail provided to enable realistic change for better health.
The second part of our week was a lived experience open plenary talk. As part of this session, Sean delivered a talk on his lived experience of mental illness but then invited the audience to participate in the session and wow! The contributions to the discussion, sharing stories, tips, hints and possible options for support going forward to support individual mental health was mind blowing, so much so we are looking to launch further sessions in this format.
After some much need downtime over the long weekend lookout for some information on our Wellbeing Awareness for Remote Working workshop which is goes into much greater detail than our Four Ways to Wellbeing.
